The Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Enhancing Experiential and Project-Based Learning in Entrepreneurship Course in the Nigerian University System

Abstract

The Nigerian university system is beginning to acknowledge the significance of experiential and project-based learning (PBL) approaches in entrepreneurship education. While these are promising scenarios, the implementation of AI in entrepreneurship courses in Nigeria is still at its promising stage. Using a cross-sectional mixed-method design to explore the role of AI tools in experiential and project-based learning in entrepreneurship education on a sample of 300 students, 60 lecturers and 9 administrators chosen using stratified random sampling, the study set to determine the effect of AI tools in the improvement of quality and performance of entrepreneurship education in Nigerian universities. Quantitative data were collected using standardized, self-administered questionnaires through Google Form. Validity of the instrument was determined by expert review (n = 3). Qualitative data were derived through semi-structured interviews that were transformed into a structured questionnaire for administrators. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-tests, ANOVA, and multiple regression to explore the relationships and predictors among the key variables.
