Abstract

This study uses the Engineering Design Process learning model based on the STEAM approach to stimulate students' CPS skills and biological science literacy on environmental knowledge material at SMP Negeri 3 Ternate City. This study was conducted using quantitative methods. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the Engineering Design Process model based on the STEAM approach to stimulate students' CPS skills and biological science literacy on environmental knowledge material at SMP Negeri 3 Ternate City. The results of data analysis that have been carried out through normality and homogeneity tests with the EDP model based on the STEAM approach applied in the experimental class can achieve higher CPS and scientific literacy indicators compared to the control class. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the EDP model based on the STEAM approach to stimulate students' CPS skills and biological science literacy on environmental knowledge material at SMP Negeri 3 Ternate City.
